ASBAS – Workshops in May

Nationwide Bookkeeping & Accountants Services

In the coming weeks, I’ll be presenting some workshops with ASBAS at Moreton Bay Region Libraries (North Lakes) around small business bookkeeping software (there is more in the pipeline as well). The cost per workshop is $18.41 inc GST & booking fee.

1 May 2019 – What software to do I use? – 6pm to 8pm
We’ll be looking at a list of software out there for businesses, what to look for, and have a quick gander at some to get an idea of how they feel and look. Some of it comes to personal preference of the UI, some comes down to budget.

7 May 2019 – Fundamentals of Xero – 6pm to 8pm
We look at creating contacts, processing sales and purchase invoices, add an employee, process a pay run, reconcile bank accounts and review transaction history.

These kinds of workshops would normally cost around $250 per participant, so there is a lot of value to be had from these thanks to the Australian Government.

More about the ASBAS Program:
Business Station (WA) has partnered with RDA Brisbane to deliver the Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS) Digital Solutions program across Queensland. ASBAS is a federally funded program that delivers low cost, high quality, digital advisory services to small businesses in metropolitan and regional areas across four key areas:

– Websites and selling online
– Social media and digital marketing
– Using small business software
– Online security and data privacy

We also offer one-on-one sessions at low-cost but to be eligible for a one-on-one consultation, you must be a business (0-19 employees) and provide an ABN.

I am also on the lookout for low-cost / no-cost venues central to Brisbane and on the south side to present more workshops – so if people have suggestions, I’m happy to hear them.
